motorcycle
training courses
are held at the

Campus. All

the Palomar
Community
Development

Motorcycle
Basic RiderCourse sm |
|

Classes held at the Palomar
College San Marcos Campus Map This training is designed
primarily for beginning and
inexperienced riders.This motorcycle training class
is required by the DMV for any
rider under the age of 21
seeking his or her first
California motorcycle License.
DMV certificates will be issued
for successful completion of
this course.
Our Basic RiderCoursesm includes
5 hours of classroom and 10
hours of on-cycle instruction.
It covers everything from
beginning to advance riding
skills. Classes are held in the
evening during the week and
range riding times are scheduled
on the weekend. Classes begin
every two weeks. Each class at
Palomar College has 2 classroom
sessions and 2 range riding
sessions.
We provide the motorcycles and
also a helmet if you need one.
You may use your own helmet, but
it must be DOT approved. You do
not need to have a motorcycle
permit to take this class, but
you must have a valid driver’s
license from any state,
learner's permit for car or
motorcycle or completion
certificate from a driver's
education program.
FEE: $250 or $150 (if
under 21)

This motorcycle training
course is designed for
motorcyclists with a
current class (M)
motorcycle license. Our
advanced course includes
5 hours on your
motorcycle. We will
focus on developing the
physical skills of
advanced braking,
cornering, swerving,
understanding correct
motorcycle techniques,
and motorcycle handling.
